-
Viewing Theme Settings
-
This allows you to view the setting of a theme without using
the theme to display the site. This is helpful for determining
if your browser supports the colours and other settings that
might be used in a theme.
-
Themes On
-
If you wish to use the Themes feature press this button.
A small "Current Theme" drop down menu will appear at the
bottom of each page
while themes are turned on. The name of the theme currently
in use will be displayed. To change themes, simply select
a different one from the drop down menu and Press the
"Go" button.
-
Themes Off
-
To revert back to the default appearance of the site,
press this button.
The "Current Theme" menu will no longer
appear and you will be left free to enjoy the effort
that went into making the default appearance user friendly
and easy on the eyes.
-
Reload Themes
-
Press the "Reload" button to refresh the list of available
themes. Since other users can add to the theme list, sometimes
an explicit reload is necessary. You shouldn't have too much
need to use this, but I figured, "What the Hay?"
-
Save Current Theme As Your Default
-
Press this button to save your preferred theme.
This saves a cookie on your computer so any time you
visit this web site again your default theme will be used
automatically.

Theme Customize Help
-
This allows you to build your own theme! Isn't that neat-o?
Once you are done building your theme you can add it to the list
of available themes and use it. Adding a custom theme is
semi-permanent. In other words, it will exist until I remove it.
If you added a custom theme and wish it removed, please let me
know.
-
Settings
-
Each theme has a list of attributes. Each attribute has a
string value.
-
The name of each attribute can be found in the left hand column.
The value for each is displayed next to a sample of the colour
it produces.
-
The settings for the current theme in use is displayed in the
"Current Theme" column.
-
The settings for the theme you are building are displayed
under the "Custom Theme" column.
-
Setting Values
-
The Name attribute is required. You must specify a name
that is not taken by another existing theme.
-
To set a value in your custom theme, simply type what
you desire in the "Change To" column.
Examples:
red
#0202020
You can put almost anything for values. Play around and see
what your browser supports.
Spaces and quotes are not allowed.
These will be turned into dashes "-" so
you don't have to think about it.
-
Press "Preview" to check out what you did with no commitments.
Don't you wish everything worked that way?
-
Press "Reset" to clear your custom settings and begin from
the scratch.
-
Press "Add Custom Theme" to add what you made to the list.
You can then select your custom theme from the "Current Theme"
drop down menu and press "Go". There now, aren't you proud of
yourself?
